18 Months

Lorelai hit 18 months old a couple weeks ago, here's the stats:

Weight: 24lbs. 13oz. (60%)

Height: 32 1/4 in. (75%)

Head Circumference: 47 1/2 cm (88%)

She is growing so fast, I can't believe she is already 1 1/2 and is going to have a little

sister within the next couple weeks! She is constantly learning so much; she loves looking at books and going to the park!

Cheese!

She is such a good helper, she always wants to help me with everything I do! Everytime I do the laundry she insists on pushing the basket full of clothes from our closet all the way to the laundry room by herself. Whenever I empty the dishwasher she is right there next to me handing me the silverware, any way she can help, she's there!

We have taken her to feed the ducks a couple times at a park near us, which she loves, but she eats half the bread and gives half to the ducks!

The other day I put her laundry basket on her head and she just kept playing
with her toys as if it wasn't even there!

Giving her bunny rabbit big hugs!

On Mother's Day someone in our ward brought a bunch of fresh lilacs that were given to all the women in relief society, so I gave mine to Lorelai after church and she did not want to let go of them. The only way she would happily take a nap after church is if I put the flowers in bed next to her, so here she is sleeping with the lilacs!

We just love our little girl so much, she is constantly full of happiness. We have been so blessed to have such an angel for a little girl, it is so fun to see her learns new words and sounds and how to do new things! We love you Lorelai!

The Girl's Rooms

I've been working on getting the girl's rooms ready for them and for the
most part I am finally done.
This is going to be the baby's room

And this is Lorelai's new room. Lorelai has been sleeping in her big girl bed for
a month or so now and she loves it! Preston's mom made her a super cute picture board and bow holder for her wall and I decided to make her curtains.
Last minute I also decided to make a couple cute chalkboards to hang on her wall.
It has been fun getting everything ready for the baby's coming.

Nursery!

Lorelai went to nursery for the first time today and did great! Preston and I took her in and she gave us a little smile then headed for the toys and never looked back! It was so nice to be able to actually pay attention to the lessons today, Yay!

Gizmo

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to our loyal, playful, oh so friendly 20 lb. lap dog.
After 3 years of of having him as a member of our family we made the difficult decision to give him to another family. He is now living with a family that has two girls around the ages of 7 and 9. The guy we gave him to works for Preston, so we make sure to ask about him often. He is loving his new playmates! We will definitely miss this crazy dog!

Easter Day!

We had a great Easter day! The first thing Lorelai found when she got up that morning was of course her easter basket. Here she is more interested in the eggs than the toys.
Preston made sure to help her with her golf swing

But, she just wanted to sit on him and eat her Easter candy!

Ready for church in her pretty new Easter dress!

She did not want to smile for the camera, I could barely get her to look at it.

After church, it was such a nice day that Lorelai could play outside
with her new golf set while we barbequed.
One of Lorelai's new favorites is corn on the cob, she digs right into that thing!

After lunch Preston hid some eggs in the back yard for Lorelai to find. This time she didn't care about the eggs, she just wanted the candy.

Here she is with a mouth full of twizzlers and goldfish crackers, a delicious combination!
Emptying her eggs, making sure she got every last piece of candy.

The rest of the day we spent enjoying the weather and later had dinner with friends that evening. All in all it was a fantastic day, hope everyone's Easter was great! (Sorry about the picture overload)

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we took Lorelai to an Easter Egg Hunt at a park by our friend's
house and Lorelai had a great time filling up her basket. They basically layered the ground with eggs and then split it up by ages, so she had no problem getting a good stash.

When she was done we had to give back all the eggs, but that's the
part she really wanted, she didn't even care about the candy inside.

After she finished gathering eggs we visited the Easter Bunny and
this is the best picture we could get. At least he didn't make her cry!

The Latest

There hasn't been too much excitement here lately. Preston has been busy with Iceberg and Papa John's. We feel very blessed by how well Iceberg is doing, it has started off even better than we expected, Lorelai has been busy getting into everything and trying to learn as much as she can. Emily is enjoying the blessing of being able to stay home with Lorelai everyday.

I thought she was just getting toys out of the drawer
until I came over and found her sitting in it!
Lorelai loves helping with anything she can, including the dishes, I guess
she thought standing on it would get help get the job done quicker.
Lorelai is such a girly girl. She carries her purse around all over and loves to pretend she is talking on her cell phone. She has a fake lipstick in her purse that she pretends to put on and loves when mom pretends to put her make up on her.
She has a plastic knife that came with a food set she got, but she thinks it is a comb and tries to comb her hair with it. She loves bracelets of any kind and decided that her red bath toy ring was better suited as a bracelet. She will keep it on her wrist all day long!

I can't wait until it gets just a little warmer so Lorelai can play outside, she loves to stand at the back door and loves to go outside. Here she is watching the hail storm; she thought it was so funny!

I tried to get a better video of Lorelai wrestling with her bear,

also a favorite activity of hers, but this is the best I could do.
