2 1/2!

I don't even know where to start! Lorelai is growing too quick for her own good :) Everyday she learns something new and is constantly making us laugh. She is shy around other people but never stops talking at home!

She has done so well with all the changes and excitement over the last few months. Through the move and staying at Kent and Ann's before we found a house, then moving into a new house and being around new people in nursery and not being able to play with all her friends in Boise, she has still just gone with the flow of it all! Though she still regulary mentions her little Boise friends!

She loves to ride her bike and go for walks by the river!

She could play with bubbles and play doh all day long!

She is an excellent mommy to her 3 babydolls.

She is sweet most of the time but definitely has some sas!

One of our favorite parts of the day is after her nap when she gets her backpack and her lunchbox and we pretend to ride the bus to "school" (the kitchen table). She loves to learn and really loves that there's always a snack waiting in her lunch box when we're all done!

She loves the park and helping her little sister!

She is VERY independent which I love and hate!

She insists on doing almost everything by herself!

Some of her favorites:

Color: Pink and yellow

Movies: Cars, Kung Fu Panda, Nemo,

Tv Show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Place: the balloon place (Red Robin)

Toy: Probably her babies!

Food: Mac and Cheese

Song: Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam and Popcorn Popping

She loves nursery! Going places with daddy when mommy and Reagan have to stay home! Singing, dancing, getting her nails painted! She is definitely a girl!

We are so grateful for such a sweet little girl!

Our Geese Friends!

Right now we are living in a condo and right behind the row of condos in front of us is the Columbia river. There is a great bike path along the river that we like to go for walks on and that is where our geese friends live!
These 3 geese are always around, sometimes there are others too, but we can usually count on seeing them, so we bought some food and like to go feed them. They got used to this really quick and now recognize us. Well, one Saturday they were surrunded by a few ducks and geese and one of them came at us with his quivering beak in the air, being the over protective mom, I headed in the opposite direction. Lorelai however thought this was great and continued to throw food out at them. So, picture me practically running pulling the wagon and 1o birds following right behind us squawking at us while a few drunk people on their yacht had a good laugh! If only there were pictures.

These videos are not quite that funny but they do show the geese following us after we finished feeding them another day and Lorelai's fearlessness as she heads straight for them on her bike and the camera shifting as I'm freaking out while Preston just laughs!

Still following us!

Most of the time they are pretty friendly and the girls just love to go visit them!

Cute Girls!

Who knew painting a rock could be so fun!

These days Lorelai would rather pull the wagon than ride

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. I really loved that it fell the same weekend as General Conference. It was fun to explain to Lorelai this year about the "Beaster" Bunny as she says it. She was so excited to come downstairs Easter morning and find their baskets.
Lorelai's mouth was too full to smile!
Lorelai's pretty Easter eggs

The Easter Bunny also hid some easter eggs out front for Lorelai to find. She was so sweet, after she found a couple of them she decided to share with Reagan.

The one downside to the day was that I woke up to find that neither our oven or stove was working. That made it hard to make the stuffed cinnamon crescent rolls I had planned for breakfast as well as the big Easter dinner I planned. Oh well, we just saved it all for the next Sunday! It was still yummy a week later! Hope you all had a Happy Easter too!

A Day in Spokane

On my birthday we decided to head to Spokane. Preston needed to check on the stores we are preparing to re-open there; so we spent half the day at the stores and then te rest of the day seeing a few sights!
We spent most of the time at riverfront park where we of course let the girls play at the little park there
I took Lorelai on the carousel in the park; it was built in 1909 and the tiger she rode is the only one on an active carousel in the world.
Reagan was all smiles all day as usual!

Also in the park is the world's larger radio flyer wagon, you can climb up into it
and slide down the handle. Lorelai wasn't too sure about that once she got to the top, but liked it once we convinced her to go down!

We also saw the waterfalls, but didn't get a good picture.
We checked out the mall downtown because let's be honest; shopping in the tri-cities is lacking a little bit!
We had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory which was delicious, but the girls were tired and restless at that point, so not only did we not take any pictures, we also ate as quickly as we could so we could get back on the road and head for home!
It was a great birthday, thanks to my wonderful husband and little girls complete with waffles and ice cream for breakfast and homemade pizookies for dessert when we got home that night! Yum!

Grandpa Miller's Visit

Grandpa Miller came and stayed with us for over a week to help us move, but I was so consumed in the packing and unpacking to think about taking any pictures!

The girls got quite attached to grandpa while he was here and we were sad to see him go!

Grandpa bought Lorelai a strawberry plant and helped her plant it before he left. She was most excited about watering it with her "water can" that she decorated with princess stickers!

The final product! It has been growing so quickly since then and Lorelai loves checking on it and making sure it has enough water, we can't wait until we start seeing some strawberries!

Thanks again for coming dad, we really enjoyed having you here!
