Portland Trip

The Beginning of August we took a little trip to Portland for a few days. We had such a great time and enjoyed getting away, but I don't think I would ever want to live in Portland. There was lots of great things to do though and we stayed pretty busy while we were there.
The best way to get around downtown is their light rail system, at first Lorelai wasn't too sure about this, but she quickly decided it was fun!
This is a view of Portland from their Aerial tram.

We spent some time at the Oregon museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), it was huge, Lorelai couldn't get enough!

Lorelai saw these lockers at OMSI and ran over and climbed right in then closed the door. We could have only played with the lockers and she would have been happy!

This stubborn little girl refused to ever look at the camera when I tried to take pictures!

A couple of hot weather forecasters!
One day we drove out to Cannon beach which was a little over an hour away and spent the day walking around all the little shops. It was such a cute little town. The amount of time we spent actually on the beach was about as long as it took to get a couple pictures because Lorelai hated the sand! She would not walk in it, needless to say we did not play on the beach.

This is pretty much what Reagan did the entire trip!

The first day we were there we went to the Children's Museum. Lorelai definitely loved it.
They had a bunch of different themed rooms. There was grocery shopping, a dig pit, a treehouse storytelling room, etc.

This room had a stage with tons of costumes and as you can see Lorelai was the director!

She really loved the train room.
They also had a water room, with tons of fun activities, Lorelai mostly just observed in this room!

Brushing the Alligator's teeth!

Here we are in the doctor's office, where she took care of babies and looked at x-rays!

On deck!
Also while we were there we visited the Japanese Gardens which were beautiful, but I left my camera in the car! We did tons of shopping while we were there because Portland has way better options than Boise! It was so great to be able to spend some time just the 4 of us away from all our usual daily demands! But as always we were happy to get home!

Reagan's Blessing Weekend

We blessed Reagan the first Sunday in August and had a great weekend with the family that was able to make it!
One night we all went to a great restaurant here called Tucano's where they bring all different kinds of meats around to your table on big skewers and you eat as much as you want, it lots of fun.

Lorelai kept insisting on sharing her water with Reagan!

The Big Day!

She looked so beautful! My mom made her dress and Preston's mom
provided her headband and shoes!

Lorelai refused to smile for the pictures!

Thanks to everyone who came and made her blessing day a little more special!

Tyler's Birthday

Tyler had his birthday while the boy's were here so we had a delicious dinner at Cheesecake Factory, then headed back home for dessert with a couple of his friends.
Per Tyler's request we had strawberry shortcake and pizookies.
Preston had to relight the cake like 4 times, he kept putting out the candles when he blew out the match. Then, Tyler blew them out before we sang so I made him re light it again, such a process!

As kind of a joke we got Tyler a "squirmie" for part of his birthday present and I have never seen him laugh so hard, it was hilarious!

Double Date Night

Preston and I went on a double date with Tyler and Jessica (a girl from work that he has been spending a lot of time with, I don't know if I am allowed to call her his girlfriend).

First we went shooting, good times!

Then dinner at Cheesecake Factory, so yummy!

We finished off the night with some indoor kart racing.

How awesome do Tyler and Jessica look in their suits!

From 3 to 4 to 6!

Did I mention our brother's Tyler and Tanner are here for the summer! We have had a lot of changes, going from our little family of 3, then came our beautiful little Reagan and two weeks later we added a couple boys. They made they long drive up here and are working for Preston for the summer. It has been so fun to have them here, even when the police show up looking for them at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night (I'll never get tired of reminding them of that experience)! We will be sad to see them go!

Here they are after the looong drive!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! Tyler and Tanner got back from EFY that morning and our friends the Grisham's came over that evening for a barbecue. We enjoyed lots of great food, then set off some of our own fireworks along with our neighbors.

Tyler and Tanner thought it was fun to hold the fireworks while they were going off until Tyler dropped one and singed some of his leg hairs. Then Tanner lit a handful of sparklers in his hand and they exploded!

All Smiles!

Reagan is already full of smiles! Pretty much all you have to do is smile at her and she'll smile back! Sorry, this isn't the best video, I took it on my phone.
