Quick Visits

Grandpa and Grandma Olsen stopped by on their way to and from Washington a couple weeks ago and spent the night each way. It was so fun to have them here and it was fun for Lorelai to get to know them a little bit more!

What's new with Lorelai

Lorelai is now 10 months old and so independent. The only time she really cares to be held is when she wants food or she's tired. She just had her second tooth come in, she loves to crawl up the stairs and get into everything she's not supposed to!

She loves looking at books as long as she can turn the pages

She's the only one who can feed her milk, which is great, except when I try to give it to her in a regular cup and she doesn't want my help and she tries to turn it upside down.

Like father like daughter, her favorite thing to eat is spaghetti, she absolutely loves it!

And she loves the water; bathtub, pool, dog's bowl, wherever she
can find it she loves to play in it!

A recent favorite is sharing her food with the dog whenever she thinks we're not looking! She is still the happiest baby around and always has a smile, but she is also starting to show her stubborn side, I have no idea where she gets that from. She can't wait to see all her AZ family in October and celebrate her 1st birthday!

Happy Birthday Preston!

Thursday was Preston's 26th Birthday!
We started the morning off with a round of golf.
Don't we look like pros!
When I go golfing with Preston we don't even bother keeping score, because I'm that bad!
But we had a great time anyways.
We had a delicious lunch at Qdoba, then I dropped Preston off for an hour massage. We had dinner at none other than The Cheesecake Factory, then we went home and had homemade pizookies for dessert. It was so nice to have the whole day together! Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and father, we love you tons!

Utah Trip #2

After Tara stayed at our house for a couple days we all jumped in the car and drove down to Eden again. This time we went for my cousin Jen's wedding. My parents also flew up for the event so Lorelai got to spend a couple days with her grandpa and grandma Miller. She also met a few of her great grandparents for the first time and lots of other family as well! It was a quick trip but we were happy to be able to see our family. I forgot to take pictures at the wedding so here's the best I got from the trip.

Sister visit!!!

Tara came to visit us for a few days last week and Lorelai
had so much fun playing with her!

While she was here she decided that our family room needed some color so we
spent the day making curtains for our huge window and painting the wall above the fireplace.

This is the finished product! It made a big difference in the room, we love it!
Thanks for visiting sister we had a great time with you!

Utah Trip

After we spent a few days with Preston's dad we drove down to Eden, Ut. And spent a few days in a condo with Grandma and Grandpa Dixon and family. The first day we were their we first went and saw all of the House family and were able to see some cousins we hadn't seen in a while.
While we were in Eden we went to the zoo, set off tons of fireworks, went to the movies, Preston and I went golfing (sorry no pics) and just hung out with family.
Grandma Dixon and Lorelai at Hogle zoo.

Lorelai loved hanging out with Aunt Lindsey

Kendria and Deacon flew in for a couple days, him

and Lorelai had fun playing together!

Uncle Tanner, Deacon, Preston, Grandpa Dixon, Brayton, Adrian and Lorelai

Emily, Grandma Dixon, Lorelai and Lindsey ( notice her tiny baby bump, we're so excited to meet baby girl Gettler!)

Lorelai liked to watch the bigger animals, however, we tried to take a picture next to a fake rhino and she started crying, so we just couldn't get too close.

It was a fun trip, but Lorelai didn't sleep well while we were there

so it was good to get home and get a good night's rest.

A Visit From Grandpa House!

Last week Preston's dad came to visit and it was great to have him here!
He helped Preston with a few odd and end jobs around the house. Here they are pulling out the apple tree we planted that never grew, Lorelai liked watching them!

While he was here we drove to a little resevoir about an hour north of us and went fishing. It was a beautiful drive and the resevoir was even prettier.

Preston caught 7 rainbow trout and we took 5 of them home and had them for dinner.

Here they are gutting the fish. Gross!
