It's A Girl!

That's right, we're having another little girl! We're excited for Lorelai to have a little sister so close to her, the baby really didn't want to cooperate today so it took a while to get a good shot. We actually have to go do another ultrasound to get the rest of the measurements and angles we couldn't get, but the tech got enough to tell that she is doing great! We can't wait for this little girl to come, now we just have to figure out a name!

Good News!

It's official! Preston and his partner signed papers yesterday, we should have our first Iceberg open on December 29th! I don't see my husband very much these days, but we are both really excited about this opportunity. We hope you all plan to attend the grand opening!

Playing in the Snow!

We got snow on Saturday that actually stuck, so Sunday we bundled Lorelai up and let her experience it for the first time!
Ready for the snow!

She wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but we think she liked it.

Cute Little Lorelai

Lorelai's turn to pick what to watch with daddy

She is getting way better at listening when I tell her not to get into something, but
she still tries with hopes that I won't stop her. She gets into everything!
Trying to look innocent like she's not about to get into the cupboard.

Gotta love the hair!

In my mouth, in my hair; same thing.

Catch Up!

I haven't updated in a while so here's a little catch up. Back in the middle of October Grandma and Grandpa Dixon came to stay for the weekend. They come about this time each year and Ken takes a bunch of classes for work to stay certified.

Lorelai had tons of fun playing with grandma while grandpa was in his classes.
Then, the next week is when we went to Arizona and celebrated Lorelai's birthday. Lorelai and I were there for a few more days than Preston and we were able to spend a lot of time with all the family. The first day we were there Lindsey had her baby shower, but I didn't take any pictures. We were also able to go over to Nicholas and Jackie's house and see their new baby girl.

Josh and Addison napping!

Brooklyn giving Lorelai a hug. It was fun for Lorelai to be able to play with some of her cousins while we were there.

Of course, as tradition the girls got pedicures and even Lorelai got to join in on the fun this time. Mom, Tara, Janet, Lindsey, Lorelai and I were all able to go, too bad all the girls couldn't be there. While the girls got pedicures a few of the boys went golfing.

It was fun to be home for a little while and see all the family and even a few friends, too bad I didn't take more pictures. I'll work on that next time.

Happy Birthday...Happy Halloween!

Lorelai had her 1st birthday on Halloween! The weekend before we were able to go visit the family in Arizona and celebrate her birthday with them. Most of our immediate family was able to be there and we were so happy to be able to spend this time with them.

We had her favorite dinner at the party: Spaghetti and Meatballs along with lasagna, salad and breadsticks. Thanks to both of our wonderful mothers for all their help on this!

Lorelai's favorite part was definitely opening presents!

With the help of my mom and my sister we constructed a princess castle cake for Lorelai's princess party, it turned out a little bigger than I expected, but it was exactly what I had imagined for her! It looked great!

She never really dug into the cake, she had a little help on that, mostly she was pretty dainty about it, but she enjoyed it!

Grandpa House didn't make it to her party, but had a surprise waiting for her at his house when we went to see him!
Since Lorelai's birthday is also Halloween we dressed her up as a birthday cake, Preston went as a slice of pizza. We went to our ward's trunk or treat and Lorelai had fun walking around collecting candy and showing off her costume, she didn't want to stop!
After the trunk or treat we went home and opened up a few more presents she had waiting for her and then let her dig into another little cake.
She had a little more fun with it this time and made a way bigger mess!
It's hard to believe our little Lorelai is already 1, she had been such a blessing in our home! She always has a smile and brings joy to everyone she meets, thanks again to everyone who helped make her birthday special!
