Utah Trip

After we spent a few days with Preston's dad we drove down to Eden, Ut. And spent a few days in a condo with Grandma and Grandpa Dixon and family. The first day we were their we first went and saw all of the House family and were able to see some cousins we hadn't seen in a while.
While we were in Eden we went to the zoo, set off tons of fireworks, went to the movies, Preston and I went golfing (sorry no pics) and just hung out with family.
Grandma Dixon and Lorelai at Hogle zoo.

Lorelai loved hanging out with Aunt Lindsey

Kendria and Deacon flew in for a couple days, him

and Lorelai had fun playing together!

Uncle Tanner, Deacon, Preston, Grandpa Dixon, Brayton, Adrian and Lorelai

Emily, Grandma Dixon, Lorelai and Lindsey ( notice her tiny baby bump, we're so excited to meet baby girl Gettler!)

Lorelai liked to watch the bigger animals, however, we tried to take a picture next to a fake rhino and she started crying, so we just couldn't get too close.

It was a fun trip, but Lorelai didn't sleep well while we were there

so it was good to get home and get a good night's rest.

A Visit From Grandpa House!

Last week Preston's dad came to visit and it was great to have him here!
He helped Preston with a few odd and end jobs around the house. Here they are pulling out the apple tree we planted that never grew, Lorelai liked watching them!

While he was here we drove to a little resevoir about an hour north of us and went fishing. It was a beautiful drive and the resevoir was even prettier.

Preston caught 7 rainbow trout and we took 5 of them home and had them for dinner.

Here they are gutting the fish. Gross!

Swimming, Teething and Falling

Lorelai and I just finished a two week mommy and me swim class and we had so
much fun. She absolutely loves the water!

This is the result of mom leaving her sitting next to her walker for 10 sec. She immediately tried pull herself up on it and instead it came down on her. I felt terrible, poor girl.

Teething has begun. Lorelai's first tooth has started to come in and for the most part she has barely fussed at all. But there has been a couple moments and that's when we break out the otter pops, they work really well to soothe her.

Brian Regan

Saturday night Preston and I went and saw Brian Regan live. He is a clean comedian and so funny, Kermet Apio opened for him and he also was funny. But, for those of you who haven't heard Brian before you should check out the link below to hear a couple of his bits. We had such a great time being able to have a night out together. The tickets were Preston's Father's Day gift so I told him since it was his night he could pick where we went for dinner. He chose a romantic evening at quiznos! Seriously that is where he wanted to go over anywhere else (he loves their turkey, bacon, guac. sub). Then we went and got gelato, then headed to the show and by the time the show was over we couldn't even laugh anymore. What a fantastic night!

Family Pictures

We went and got pictures taken on Friday, mostly of Lorelai. So we thought we would share. Lorelai did so good she just kept smiling, but then again that is how she always is. We feel so blessed to have such a happy little girl all the time!

The Grandmas Come To Visit!

This last week Grandma Dixon and Grandma Miller came to visit and we had a great time with them. Lorelai loved the attention and Gizmo spent the whole trip fighting for the attention.

Lorelai got pretty good at crawling by the time they left and also learned how to

crawl through her bouncer.

While they were here we drove down to Twin Falls and saw Shoshone Falls and Twin Falls.

First we enjoyed lunch in the park and Lorelai sprawled out!

Here we are at Shoshone Falls, so pretty!

Also while they were here I decided to start a project that ended up spread across the kitchen table the whole time. I saw the idea for this shadow box on a cooking blog linked to Jeremy and Ashley's blog so I stole it and made Lorelai a shadow box for her blessing, here's the final product!
Thanks to our mom's for coming to see us and putting up with us , we had a great time! Lorelai loved seeing her Grandmas come back soon! We love visitors and we have a spare room so if anyone needs to get away we'll take you :) !
