Just Out of Reach!

The other day I put Lorelai down on her tummy and set her little stuffed duck just out of her reach to see if she would try to get it. She quickly figured out she couldn't reach it, but that didn't stop her...

Yay for Lorelai's first attempt at crawling (or scooting)!

Going Private!

We've decided it's time, we're making our blog private very soon. Therefore I would appreciate it if you all would either email me your email address or leave it in the comments a.s.a.p. Thanks! emilyhouse05@hotmail.com.

What's New?

Lindsey and Adrian are having baby #1!

Nicholas and Jackie are having baby #2!

Devry and Maggie recently had baby #3!

Congrats to you all, we are so happy for you!

As for us, well how do you top that? Our lives have been pretty simple lately, here's the highlights:

Lorelai recently learned to roll from her back to her tummy and in this picture has rolled herself into the side of her play mat, this happens daily! By the time she finishes she is rarely even still on the play mat.

The good news is now that she can roll both ways, she doesn't cry everytime I lay her down on her tummy!

She insists on helping hold the spoon whenever I feed her and also insists on having one of her hands in her mouth along with the spoon and the food! Oh, the fun we have!

Lorelai loves Gizmo, evertime she sees him she gets a big smile, he has also taken pretty well to her, sometimes he is a little nervous and other times he tries to get right up in her face and lick her. She likes to pull his hair and he doesn't seem to mind. I think they are going to be good friends!

As you can see here is Gizmo in the bathtub. I have no explanation. Every now and then when we are in the bathroom getting ready he just jumps in and sits there and watches us, I don't know why.

It finally feels like spring here, so yesterday we got out in the yard and did a little clean up for the first time since winter began. Actually, we first paid a kid in the ward to mow the lawn, then we did the rest. Since our yard isn't very big we should probably do it ourselves, but then we'd have to buy a lawn mower, maybe next year. These pictures don't really do justice to what we did. We actually pulled out a few ugly bushes and replaced them with new ones, planted some flowers and threw down new bark and some new rocks. I must say I thought we did pretty good!

Yeah, these really are the highlights of our lives right now!

Sleeping Beauty

Lorelai has been such a good sleeper since day one. When we first brought her home she would sleep four to six hours at night between feedings. By eleven weeks she was sleeping ten to twelve hours a night. Occasionally she refuses to nap so I put her on her play mat or in her swing and eventually she gives in. I hope all our babies are this easy!

Back to Az

We made a trip to Az recently and had a great time! Preston was only able to be there for part of the time (man did we miss him!), but Emily and Lorelai stayed for 8 days. While we were there Carolina and Jeff were sealed. It was a beautiful ceremony that Emily nearly missed by forgetting her recommend, whew, close call. Carrie you looked beautiful and we are so happy for you guys!!

Emily, Carolina, Lorelai and Danielle
It was so great to see you guys!
We were also able to spend lots of time with the family!
Lorelai with Grandpa House

Lorelai with Uncle Adrian and Aunt Lindsey
Lorelai with Grandma Dixon

Lorelai sleeping on Grandpa Miller, she was so tired she slept on him for over and hour at the reception, so cute!

Aunt Tara and Lorelai playing!

Grandma Miller holding Lorelai and cousin Brooklyn while Tara, Jackie and I got pedicures.
What a nice Grandma!

We had a great time just the girls, pedicures followed by facials and lunch and shopping!

We had such a good time with everyone, once again I failed at my attempt to get pictures with everyone we spent time with. We were able to spend time with all the family (House's, Miller's and Dixon's). Derek and Kristen were in town when we were so we saw them and their girls which was great! Darin was also in town when we were so we went on a double date with him and his friend Courtney! Preston and I also got some birthday shopping in for me because Az has way better shopping options than Id. I've left much out I am sure, but all in all it was a great trip!
