The other morning when I woke up I could hear Lorelai in her crib in her room talking to herself, just laying there making happy little cooing noises. I realized that was one of my favorite sounds. Almost simultaneously I thought of one of my other favorite sounds; whenever I hear the garage door opening when I am home because that means that Preston is home. Simply put those two are the best parts of my day, I just can't get enough and everyday is better than the last!Feb 17, 2008

movie: ocean's 13 is my newest favorite and most chick flicks

T.V Show: Gilmore Girls- I know it's not on t.v. anymore, but I have them all on dvd, plus it's the only t.v. show I watch
guilty pleasure: Ice Cream and Cheesecake
outfit: Jeans, heels and a cute shirt, I love wearing heels!
body part: my lips and chin because Lorelai has the same shape of lips and chin as me, I like knowing she got those features from me.
kitchen tip: after you cut garlic or onion rub your hands on stainless steel to get rid of the smell
life lesson: pick your battles, I used to hate when my mom would say that to me, but she was right.
activity: anything with Preston and Lorelai
food: Costa Vida sweet pork, Cheesecake factory mac and cheese balls, Tia Rosa's, crepes! the list could go on.
child raising tip: I haven't been a mom long enough to be giving out tips, but I have to remind myself sometimes that it's okay to focus solely on Lorelai and not constantly try to multi-task, time with her is more precious than house cleaning or working.
pet peeve: wasting money
game: cashflow 101 and 202
tattoo (imagined or real): just the thought of the needle involved is too much for me

Cute little Lorelai!
She gets cuter everyday and she definitely gets bigger everyday!
We just bought her a pod seat and she likes it, but she is still a little small for it. When we put her in it her head usually falls to the side.
So tired, but cried every time we put her down.

Every time I lay a blanket out on the ground and put Lorelai on it, Gizmo thinks he is supposed to be on it as well.

Once a blonde, always a blonde
So I went to Walmart the other day for groceries, etc. I did all my shopping, got in line, the grocery checker got about half my groceries checked when I began digging in my purse for my wallet. It was at this moment when it hit me; after taking my wallet out of my purse earlier that day, because I needed my debit card for a bill I was paying online, I never put it back. I simply set it on the counter next to the garage door thinking I would grab it on my way out. Well, I didn't grab it, I walked right past it. So here I was standing in Walmart with $60 worth of groceries, a line behind me and no way to pay for any of it. Ya, I was a little embarrased, the girl behind me just smiled and said, "don't worry it's happened to me before." Luckily Preston was on his way home from work and just about to pass Walmart, so he came to my rescue and was kind enough to refrain from making fun of me.
Growing up I was famous for my many blonde moments, so this story is for all of you who always took pleasure in those moments. While I feel I have grown out of that stage of my life, don't worry, I still have my moments.
